Lawn Care in Titusville

We mow, edge, feed and check your lawn on a schedule built around your grass type and the time of year. You get a lawn that holds up through summer heat and a clear plan for what it needs next, before chinch bugs or fungus force the issue.

Lawn care that follows a plan, not a crisis

Most lawns here are St. Augustinegrass, Bahiagrass or Zoysia, and each one wants something different. St. Augustine should be cut at 3.5 to 4 inches so the blades shade the runners and the sandy soil underneath. Bahia tolerates lower cuts but sends up tall seed heads all summer. Cut any of them too short and the roots stay shallow, the turf dries out fast and weeds fill the gaps.

Our approach is to look at the lawn you actually have, then lay out the year: mowing frequency, when feeding makes sense, when to watch for insects and disease. That way you know what is coming, what it should cost and which problems are worth spending on now. We are a family-owned, business licensed company, and we have been caring for lawns around your home and your neighbors' since 2018.

What our lawn care covers

Cut height matched to the grass

Each grass type gets its own mower deck setting, and we sharpen blades on a regular rotation. A dull blade shreds the leaf tip instead of slicing it cleanly, and that torn end browns and gives fungus an easy way in.

Edging and trimming

We edge along driveways, walks and bed lines and string-trim around fences and posts. Clippings are blown off hard surfaces so they do not wash into storm drains.

Fertilizer timed to local rules

Brevard County limits nitrogen and phosphorus during the summer rainy season, so we plan feeding for spring and fall. Slow-release nitrogen keeps growth even instead of producing a flush that invites chinch bugs.

Weed and pest checks

On each visit we look for the early signs: yellowing patches near hot pavement, rings of brown blades, dollarweed in wet spots. We tell you what we see and what it would take to treat it.

Seasonal notes for your plan

As the year turns, we update you on what the lawn will need next, such as dethatching, a soil test or reseeding thin areas, so you can budget for it ahead of time.

Signs your lawn needs regular care

Yellow patches that spread
In St. Augustine, irregular yellow then straw-colored patches near driveways or sunny edges often point to chinch bugs. They feed on the stolons and can kill a large section in a few weeks of hot, dry weather.
Brown rings in cooler months
Circular areas with tan, rotting blades at the base usually mean large patch fungus. It shows up when nights cool and the soil stays wet, often after overwatering or a late feeding.
Dollarweed and sedge taking over
These weeds love constant moisture. If they are spreading, the irrigation schedule is probably running too often, which is something our irrigation service can adjust.
Spongy, matted turf
A layer of thatch over half an inch thick holds water and blocks fertilizer. The lawn feels soft underfoot and scalps easily when mowed.
Bare spots under trees
Most warm-season grasses need several hours of direct sun. Thinning in shade may call for pruning, a shade-tolerant variety or turning the area into a planted bed.

How we start and run your lawn care

  1. 1

    Free on-site walkthrough

We walk the property with you, identify the grass type, measure the turf area and note problems like thin spots, pest damage or drainage issues. You hear our honest read on what is worth fixing.

  2. 2

    A written plan and estimate

You get a line-item estimate for regular service plus any one-time work, with a seasonal calendar so you can see when costs land. If a section of lawn is past saving, we say so and explain options like sod installation.

  3. 3

    Scheduled visits

Our crew arrives on a set day, mows, edges, trims and clears clippings from hard surfaces. Gates get latched and nothing is left in the street.

  4. 4

    Check-ins as the season changes

We flag anything new we notice and adjust the plan, such as shifting mowing frequency as growth slows in winter.

What affects the cost of lawn care

Lawn care pricing depends mostly on how much turf there is and how long it takes to cut it well. We quote after seeing the property so the number reflects your lawn, not a guess. Planning the year up front also lets you spread out one-time work instead of paying for it all at once.

Turf area and layout
A large open lawn is faster per square foot than a small yard broken up by beds, trees and tight corners that need trimming by hand.
Visit frequency
Grass grows fastest in the warm, wet months and slows in winter. Weekly summer cuts and less frequent winter visits change the yearly total.
Current condition
Overgrown turf, heavy thatch or active pest damage takes extra work to bring back before routine care can take over.
Added treatments
Fertilizer, weed control and insect treatments are priced separately so you only pay for what the lawn needs.

Lawn care questions we hear often

How often should my lawn be mowed?
During the growing season, most St. Augustine and Bahia lawns need a cut every week. In the cooler, drier months growth slows and every two weeks is usually enough. The goal is never to remove more than a third of the blade at once.
Why can't you fertilize my lawn in the summer?
Brevard County restricts nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer during the summer rainy season to keep runoff out of the Indian River Lagoon. We plan feeding for spring and fall instead, which also avoids pushing soft growth that pests favor.
Do you bag the clippings?
Usually not. Mulched clippings break down quickly and return nitrogen to the soil. We bag when the grass is overgrown or when clippings would smother the turf, and we always clear them off driveways and walks.
Can you fix brown patches, or do I need new sod?
It depends on what caused them and whether the runners are still alive. Chinch bug or fungus damage caught early can often recover with treatment and correct watering. If the area is dead to the roots, we will tell you and price sod installation as an option.
Can I pay over time for a bigger lawn project?
Yes. You can finance amounts as large as $100,000, with repayment terms anywhere from 2 to 12 years, and there is no penalty if you pay it off early. Some homeowners use this when a lawn renovation is one part of a larger landscape plan.
