Tree Trimming and Removal in Titusville

We prune oaks, pines and shade trees with proper cuts that heal, and take down trees that have become a risk to your home. Most of it can be planned months ahead, so the work fits your budget instead of a storm forecast.

Trimming that keeps trees sound, removal when it is the right call

Good trimming removes specific limbs for specific reasons: deadwood, branches rubbing the roof, crossing limbs, and weak attachments where two stems split with bark pinched between them. We cut just outside the branch collar so the tree can seal the wound, and we avoid topping and lion-tailing, which leave a tree weaker in wind than before.

Some trees are past saving. Laurel oaks often decay from the inside by middle age, and pines struck by lightning or hit by bark beetles can die within weeks. When we walk your property, we tell you which trees need pruning, which need watching and which should come down, and why.

Landscaping Titusville is a family-owned, business-licensed company that has worked on trees in the area since 2018. We would rather put a removal on your calendar for spring than get it done after a limb is already on the carport.

What tree work with us includes

Deadwood and hazard limb removal
Dead branches are brittle and drop without warning. We remove them back to live tissue and point out any cavities or fungal conks that suggest deeper decay.
Crown thinning and clearance
We open dense canopies so wind passes through rather than pushing against a solid sail. We also raise limbs off the roof, driveway and walkways, keeping the cut volume to a modest share of the live crown so the tree is not stressed.
Structural pruning on young trees
A few cuts on a young oak now prevent the codominant stems that split a mature tree later. This is the cheapest tree work you will ever pay for.
Planned tree removal
We take trees down in sections when space is tight, lowering wood with ropes rather than dropping it near your home, fence or pool cage. If a permit is required for the tree, we confirm that before any cut is made.
Debris hauling and cleanup
Limbs are chipped and hauled, and the yard is raked and blown off. Stumps can be ground the same visit through our stump grinding service, or left for later if you prefer.

Signs a tree needs attention

  • Branches over the roof

Limbs touching shingles scrape granules loose and drop leaves into valleys. In a storm, they act as levers against the roof edge.

  • Mushrooms or conks at the base

Fungal growth at the trunk flare or on surface roots usually means wood decay below. That tree needs a closer look before the next windy season.

  • A split or crack between stems

A V-shaped union with bark trapped inside is a common failure point in oaks. Cabling is sometimes an option; often reducing one stem is the better fix.

  • Browning pine needles

A pine that turns orange-brown from the top down, especially after a lightning strike, is usually dying. Dead pines become unpredictable quickly, so removal is best scheduled soon.

  • A heavy lean that has changed

A long-standing lean is not always a problem. A new lean, or soil heaving on the opposite side, means the root plate is moving.

How a tree job runs

  1. 1

    Walkthrough and assessment

We look at each tree with you, from the root flare to the upper canopy. You hear what we see, what we recommend and what can safely wait a season.

  2. 2

    Written estimate and scheduling

You get a line-item estimate tree by tree, so you can do the urgent work now and plan the rest. Many customers book pruning for late winter or spring, ahead of hurricane season.

  3. 3

    Setting up the site

On the day, we mark a drop zone, protect beds and hardscape with plywood where equipment crosses, and keep you and your pets clear of the work area.

  4. 4

    Cutting and lowering

Climbers make the cuts and lower heavy wood by rope. Brush goes straight to the chipper so it never piles up on your lawn.

  5. 5

    Cleanup and walk-around

We rake, blow off hard surfaces and walk the yard with you before we leave. If you want the stump gone, that can be the next step.

What moves the price of tree work

Every tree is priced on what it takes to do the work safely. Your estimate lists each tree separately, so you can see where the cost comes from and decide what to do first. For larger projects you would rather pay off over time, we offer financing for amounts as high as $100,000, with terms anywhere from two to twelve years and no penalty if you pay it off early.

Size and species
A tall pine or a wide live oak takes more climbing time and produces more wood to haul than a young ornamental.
Access and targets
Trees beside the house, over a pool cage or near service lines must be taken down in small, roped pieces. Open yards where wood can fall freely cost less.
Condition of the wood
Dead or decayed trees cannot be climbed the same way as healthy ones and may need extra rigging, which adds time.
Debris and stump handling
Hauling all wood, leaving firewood rounds, or adding stump grinding each changes the total.
Timing
Scheduled work is planned around the best crew day. Waiting until a tree is damaged usually means more complicated cuts and a larger bill.

Tree trimming and removal questions

Something not covered here? (407) 544-5119

Which months are good for pruning shade trees?

For most shade trees, we like to prune between January and May, which wraps up the work before hurricane season opens in June. Oaks handle cuts better when they are not in the hottest, rainiest stretch of summer. A dead or hanging limb is different and can be removed whenever you spot it.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree?

It depends on the tree's size, species and location on your lot. We check the requirement before we schedule the removal, so you are not surprised partway through.

Can you just top my tree to make it shorter?

We do not top trees. Topping leaves large stubs that decay and triggers a flush of weakly attached sprouts that break easily in wind. Crown reduction cuts back to a lateral branch and lowers height without those problems.

Do you also handle palm trees?

Yes, through our palm tree pruning and removal service. Palms grow differently from oaks and pines, so they have their own page and their own approach.

What happens to the stump?

We cut it low to the ground by default. If you want it gone, stump grinding removes it below grade so you can plant or lay sod over the spot.
